Balancing Act II -Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada - September 2005
Another shot captured during our memorable holiday in British Columbia. We simply stumbled upon these formations on our way through Stanley Park. The unplanned, little moments, they are the things that stick with me and that I seem to cherish the most.

For me, browsing through photographs we have taken is reminiscent of a walk down memory lane. Remembering the time spent together with a loved one, the sheer delight in discovering a new place, the sense of adventure. I am transported back to that time and place, feeling the excitement and pure joy. Perhaps a bit altered, experience and time tend to do that. The photo above was taken during a holiday spent in British Columbia and it was indeed a memorable vacation. What one might refer to as a keeper, a multitude of cherished memories, revisited often. This entry was inspired by the following post about memories from a wonderful blog entitled simple me. Speaking of memories, read some work by Paul Bowles . Wishing each of you a fantastic final few days of August!
You will find new photos in our flickr account. Had a lovely lunch with a friend yesterday, thanks Lola! Wishing Marnie, Tom & Thomas safe travels across the pond. Love this photograph, as well as this one, and this too!
Received an email message from a dear friend and her words have encouraged me and helped to reinforce the reasons for maintaining a blog. To share our thoughts and inspirations, in hopes of bringing our worlds a little closer, at least for a moment. Thanks Erin!!!
Just sent off several packages in the post today, I can hardly wait for each to arrive at their destinations. I believe I get as excited about sending parcels, as receiving. I finished a few little projects this weekend which is always fun and am looking forward to what this week has in store. Hope you have been enjoying the photographs this past week, I will begin filling posts with more words in the days to come. I trust this week brings each of you much joy and peace.
Check out this terrific film short, Army Guy, from last week's episode of On The Lot. Scott and I thought it was clever, original and thoroughly entertaining.

"There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." - Lewis Carroll
