Rediscovered I

a gift
A birthday gift for Easson. Hand embroidered, machine sewn patchwork pillowcase (my first) with envelope closure and pillow insert (also machine sewn). Hope the wee one enjoys it. In case you were wondering, I purchased the embroidery pattern from Wee Wonderfuls.

Happy Monday!
Both images were taken during a beautiful sun filled afternoon last week. Sunny days during the winter are certainly something I enjoy about living in Austin. Wishing each of you a beauty filled week!
Additional information about the first photograph provided by Erin: Hi, Mel! Yes, I know these very well. They are the dried seeds of sycamore trees. While they are on the tree, they are bright green and sharp as tacks! When they fall to the ground, they look like your photo and (happily) aren't so sharp anymore....
