A bit busy, but I like it - Georgetown, Texas - 14 August 2010

Something we have been enjoying this summer has been homemade popsicles, boy are they yummy. I found rocket pop molds in June and have been filling and freezing them all summer long. Our favourite has been a strawberry and kiwi fruit combination, which we simply put in the blender with a bit of agave nectar and cold tea or water and whiz away. There are so many recipes floating around (here, here), I have used sorbet recipes for inspiration. Homemade popsicles bring back such wonderful childhood memories, Mom always had orange juice pops and pudding pops in rotation. Enjoy the journey.

Quiet Here

Just a glimpse - Austin, Texas - June 2007

The temperatures here have been scorching these first few days of August. I have been a tad quiet, trying to stay cool and I have ideas churning. Finished knitting the first of a pair of socks and started the second, I also have a quilt front almost figured out (the 5x5 square pieces are all cut, just finalizing the layout).
