Hope your weekend has been grand!

Another Figure 8 Scarf

Another Figure 8 Scarf - January 2011

Finished this morning. I love the fabrics, their texture is beautiful. I tend to give away most things I make, maybe this one will stay with me. The pattern and fabrics are by Anna Maria Horner, her scarf tutorial can be found here. Happy weekend to each of you. Enjoy the journey.

Back Yard Wild Life

Female Cardinal - December 2010

Last evening while sitting out on the deck, enjoying the nearly full moon rise (tonight is will be full), we were visited by a rabbit and a coyote. Also saw a number of deer just beyond the fence line. It was beautifully peaceful.
Enjoy the journey.

Time Flies...

Been working on a little something for a wee girl who has a birthday on Thursday. I lost all track of time, didn't realize it has been a week since I last posted. The floors are pretty well complete, I could go on and on about how great it is to have floors again. A cold front has moved into the area, freezing temperatures the past couple of nights and nearly freezing nights expected until the weekend. Enjoying homemade soups, granola, lots of tea and apple berry crisp, warming and nourishing meals for these colder days and nights. Happy belated birthday wishes to Emily (I did get a card sent, thankfully). Thought I would share a few links that I always find inspiring: bookhou, Herriott Grace, otchipotchi, 3191 Miles Apart, Astronomy Picture of the Day, dinohorses, my relentless pursuit of perfection , Orangette and Pink Chalk Studio.
More soon.
Enjoy the journey.

P.S. The following video is just too cute, Home.

Gifts / Update on Flooring

Fimo creations by Jon Anderson - Christmas and birthday 2010 - From S.

They have started work on the bamboo flooring today! Two days should do the trick. What a great way to begin the new year. Enjoy the journey.

P.S. Actually it will be three days to complete the flooring install and we will have to wait for one more transition mold to arrive. Of course there will be some finishing touches to take care of, such as, shoe molds, fill nail holes and some touch ups. Cleaning will be a must as well. It really is terrific to have flooring again!
