A Special Someone Arrives Tomorrow!

Hello!

It would seem that an entire week has slipped by without me posting here on the blog. Being a bit under the weather, getting wrapped up in a book or two, another morning spent at the long arm quilting studio and an afternoon of sewing at home will do that.  We have a special someone coming to visit next week for a few days, can't wait to spend some time with her! Finished quilting the latest project I have been working on, just have to finish making and attaching the binding, then it will be shipped off to Scotland for a wee mite due this fall.

Tomato plant in August - Summer 2012

Black, Red and White

A simple whole cloth quilt, two different fabrics for the front and the back, sewn together lengthwise. It was quilted using Glenna's long arm quilting machine. This quilt is staying with us and should be great for snuggling under. Hope the weekend was grand. Enjoy the journey.

Tomato Plant In Morning Light

We have pruned back all the tomato plants in hopes of another harvest. Fingers crossed. Pulled out the cucumber and cantaloupe vines, moved some sweet pepper plants and planted squash seeds, which have all sprouted. We shall see how everything deals with the heat of August.

The knitting needles recently arrived in the post from my cousin, she thought Auntie Evelyn would want me to have them.  I am so touched and will treasure them.  The vase is one of Paula's phenomenal creations, she is such a talent and I love her works.  Both together just make me smile.
