Hello, Spring!

Happy Spring! There has been snow, lots of rain, bulbs and trees are beginning to grow, and there are so many birds. There is a chance of more snow, but it will melt. The hand knit vest was a gift for a wee baby boy. Tiberius is super excited about all the birds that keep him busy rushing from window to window. Hope all is well in your corners of the planet. Take care of each other and enjoy the journey. ox

More Snow

Another snowfall and things look like we are inside a snow globe. Later in the week will mark one year since our arrival back in Canada. We are both enjoying being back and are adjusting well. Been keeping busy with some hand knitting, still working my way through my Auntie's yarn, generously given to me by my cousins. Ten toques so far and all recipients have expressed their appreciation. The hat pattern I have used predominately is by Wiksten and is called Snöflinga.  The hand knit socks are a Christmas gift for my sweetie this year. Take care of each other and be well.

Hand Knits

A quote by James Joyce: “his soul swooned slowly as he heard the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead.”

Knitted hat with bobbles yellow yarn - Winter 2014

Properly practiced, knitting soothes the troubled spirit, and it doesn't hurt the untroubled spirit either.

Hand Knit Socks And Paws

Handknit socks and paws by Turtle & Dragon
Hand knit socks and paws - November 2013
It has been cold and rainy here. So I have been able to make good use of my wool socks and hats. I attended a friend's high school dance recital this past Friday, it certainly brought back memories. She did really well and thoroughly enjoyed herself.
You might enjoy the Winter issue of Sweet Paul Magazine.  Thinking about knitting this Cozy Ear Flap Hat. Take care and stay warm.
Enjoy the journey. ox
