A silly story about ducks

I was out taking a few snapshots of the Bluebonnets last week, they are just magnificent this Spring, the rains we have had the past several weeks have ensured a terrific wildflower display this season. Attempting to take a shot from the flower's perspective. I was down on my belly, camera in hand looking for a good angle to capture the wildflower beauty, when out of the corner of my eye I notice a band of six ducks waddling their way over towards me, anticipating a snack I presume. Their quacking and murmuring was quite entertaining, but I wasn't too keen on being surrounded by ducks, especially if there happen to be a particularly bold one who might become indignant when the anticipated meal was not forthcoming. I held my ground, took a few more shots of the wildflowers and then decided since the ducks were so close I would see if I could get an interesting shot of one of them. Hence the reason for the photo included in this post.

Many thanks go out to my darling sister and her beau, they sent us a parcel full of Easter goodies recently and we just loved them!!!! Also, congratulations on the new house & happy house warming!! They moved in on Friday and are slowly but surely settling into their new digs!

Thanks again to Dave for the brilliant brisket recipe he so generously shared with us! It was a tremendous success and ever so tasty.

Enjoy the journey!
