Spring
Where does the time go these days?!
Spring has finally arrived and the plant life is obviously overjoyed with the prime growing conditions. So much leaf growth and blooms, a beautiful time of year. Tiberius is so loving spending time out in the screened porch. We noticed hummingbirds at the feeders last Tuesday and everyday since, they are so entertaining.
Hope all is well in your corner of the planet.
Be back soon, hopefully.
Enjoy the journey.

Hello, Spring!
Happy Spring! There has been snow, lots of rain, bulbs and trees are beginning to grow, and there are so many birds. There is a chance of more snow, but it will melt. The hand knit vest was a gift for a wee baby boy. Tiberius is super excited about all the birds that keep him busy rushing from window to window. Hope all is well in your corners of the planet. Take care of each other and enjoy the journey. ox

The Start of September
After a huge rain storm last week everything is bright and lush. The tomatoes have been slow to ripen this growing season but with the warmer temperatures these past few weeks, we have had plenty of them for meals. The middle image shows the side garden coming along slowly, will have to start preparing all the beds for the coming winter. Leaves have already started to turn on some trees, the colour display will be our first in quite some time this autumn. I trust that wherever you are on this beautiful planet, that this finds you happy and healthy. Enjoy the journey.

Summer Time
Greetings, it has been a while. Summer is upon us. We had one peony bloom this season, it paired beautifully with my otchipotchi vase (Paula is such a talent, http://otchipotchi.com/about). Generous family members have shared transplants from their gardens and all seem to be adjusting well to their new garden homes. Have had numerous visits with family and friends these past several weeks and celebrated my fortieth birthday. Still wrapping my brain around that one. So this past Friday was the big day and because I am back in Canada and my sister's sweetie was throwing her a surprise party, I was able to attend. It was the first time in probably ten years since my twin sister and I have been able to celebrate our birthday together in person, it was wonderful. Coming across a turtle last week was a treat, found it near my in laws home while returning from a day spent with my dear sister in law and niece.
More soon.
Take care.
Enjoy the journey.

Swiss Chard
Planted a few cool season plants, swiss chard, cauliflower, collard greens and kohlrabi. Shall see how they fare. We cut back the tomato plants in September and a couple of the plants are fruiting again. It wasn't a very good summer season in the raised beds, I didn't water enough which was the biggest factor.
Will make an attempt to post more regularly, sorry about the absence.
Enjoy the journey.
