New Shutters
The image above is of our master bedroom with the new shutters we had installed yesterday. Slowly checking things off of our home improvement to do list. How are things with each of you? Our gardens seem to be doing well, the rain last week helped and the roses are blooming again. The hummingbirds are frequent back yard visitors, along with many other birds. Had a lovely letter from a dear friend yesterday, such a wonderful surprise. I really must make a point of putting pen to paper more often. Enjoy the journey

Have A Terrific Easter Weekend!!!
Blooming roses - Georgetown, Texas - April 2012
the light filling the air
is so mild this spring day
only the cherry blossoms
keep falling in haste -
why is that so?

Another Rose

Spring rose bloom - Georgetown, Texas - April 2012
A winter poem:
A tangle of branches overhead
stark and twisting without their leaves
a flash of colour
the pretty melody of a winged beauty
an afternoon delight.
