Merry Christmas!!!!

The images above are of a felt toy for a wee girl for Christmas and a hat I am nearly finished knitting. There is something about creating something with your hands, I love the experience.
Merry Christmas to each of you! May the holiday be filled with magical moments, spent with those you hold dear.

Just The Beginning

Hand knit blanket for Amy - February 2011

Had a wonderful visit with Karen and Mom, too short of course. It was great of them to make it down to visit with us, we had fun showing them the house and area.
I am slowly working on a blanket for a dear friend who is expecting a wee one any time now. I love the colours of this yarn and I find this knitting pattern quite meditative.
Spring is in the air, at least here in the South. Trees are blooming, leafing out and most things have started to show new growth. Very exciting stuff.
Enjoy the journey.

Colourful Hand Knit

Colourful hand knit for a wee one - melmade - February 2011

A bright spot on a chilly morning, this was a fun way of using up some left over yarn.
Hope all is well in your corner of the planet.
Enjoy the journey.

Hand Knit

Hand knit for big brother - November 2010

Finally completed the scarf I promised my big brother and it is all packaged up, ready to be sent. It took me a while to complete this but I am hoping it will be well received. It is super soft, I used a baby llama yarn and I really like how the stitch pattern turned out and the feel of the scarf.
We should be getting things moved back in to the bedrooms and the kitchen organized some time late this week and over the weekend. A dear friend is flying in next week for a visit and we are eagerly anticipating her arrival. We should have things back into some semblance of order by the time she gets here, fingers crossed.
Enjoy the journey.

A few more knits by me - Austin, Texas - 22 October 2008

Good Afternoon to each of you! So I have managed to finish several small knitting projects as of late. The fingerless mittens are for me, the black mittens for S. and the hat is for a boy who likes pink (any guesses?). Hope all is well in your corner of the planet!
