my darling sister way back when

The blond one - Taken by Mom

I love that she is wearing only one shoe. I have to ask, why does she have my blanket?
Last Friday Scott and I celebrated thirteen years together, yeah us! It will be our sixth wedding anniversary next month, crazy that. Time certainly flies when you are enjoying yourself. I am so glad he and I can enjoy this journey together!

Happy days to each of you...

Dusk

Taken at dusk - Salzburg, Austria - Christmas 2006

The leaves look as though they could be birds, what is it you see? This shot was taken one early evening in Salzburg near the inn we were calling home for the week. The various photographs taken during that holiday transport me back, it was such a beautiful and magical place.
Hope the weekend was most enjoyable for each of you. Thought I would leave you with a list of a few things I am enjoying at the moment:

panda love one & two

a photo entitled brave enough (for the haunted mansion)

Book By Its Cover (especially the Sketchbooks)

Enjoy the journey!!!

Botanical sketches I & II - Some time ago

Funny how there are things you enjoy doing but you forget about them, moving onto over interests. I have put pen and pencil to paper again, slowly and am enjoying the experience. Not sure whether it will last, time will tell.
Enjoy the journey!

Reminiscence IV

Twins sisters dressed up for Halloween - Mid to late 70's - Taken by Mom

The photograph above of my sister and I just makes me grin. I love how Karen's ears are flopped back and mine are forwards, and that you can see the flame of the candle inside the jack-o-lantern. We both look so happy. Mom made the rabbit hats to go along with our pyjamas, they must have been such cozy costumes. If you get a chance, be sure to check out this series of paintings, I just love them. Wishing each of you the joy of finding magic in the seemingly mundane.

Me with my beloved blanket - Taken by Mom

There was a little girl,
Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good,
She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

Reminiscence I

Taken by Mom - Twin sisters, so very happy

My sister and I simply adore this photograph, it is a particular favourite. Can't you just hear the sound of our laughter. I can only imagine what started the giggles. Mom didn't dress us in matching outfits very often, at the very least we wore different colours. When I asked Mom about this photo, she told me that what I thought were dresses were actually nightgowns, how crazy is that?!
