Well Into Spring!

So things are a little different everywhere these days and certainly have been for weeks now. I trust this finds each of you healthy and sane. I have been able to finish several crafting projects and have read a few books, which is always gratifying. My days begin with a walk around our neighbourhood, which is a habit that had ebbed a bit this Winter. I have rediscovered how truly wonderfully invigorating and mind clearing it is, a great way to begin any day. Take care of yourself and loved ones, remember the importance of being kind and generous. Be well and enjoy this continually changing journey we are all on. ox

March - Snow, Sunshine, Sewing

Finally put together a quilt front, after more than a year.
Did up several zippered pouches (noodlehead tutorial), trying to gain more confidence using the zippered foot on my sewing machine, so I can tackle circular meditation pillows.
Made up another Monk's Bag today, same fabrics as this one.
Loving this flickr photostream.
Otchipotchi creations never cease to amaze.
I always enjoy 3191 Miles Apart projects.
Hope all is well where you are.
We still have lots of snow, cold temperatures, but lots of sunshine this week!
Enjoy this amazing journey.

A Bit Of Sewing

I used the following tutorials to sew up a new tote and zippered pouch:

Enjoy the journey!
Update: The fabric print is a bit too cute, but it is a hemp and organic cotton canvas weight fabric that is terrific to work with. I ended up making a couple more unlined grocery totes yesterday and they should prove very handy.  I love the boxed corners which make loading the bags far easier.  ox

Merry Christmas!!!!

The images above are of a felt toy for a wee girl for Christmas and a hat I am nearly finished knitting. There is something about creating something with your hands, I love the experience.
Merry Christmas to each of you! May the holiday be filled with magical moments, spent with those you hold dear.

A Recent Project

Just finished a commissioned project yesterday (image below). I made up two bags using the monk's bag pattern from The Purl Bee. It was a fun pattern to work through and the finished pieces turned out rather well.  This is another version of the same pattern.
I am rather enjoying the following books, The Emperor Of All Maladies - A biography of cancer by Siddhartha Mukherjee, as well as, Tender - A cook and his vegetable patch by Nigel Slater. What are you reading these days? Enjoy the journey.

Have A Great Weekend!!

Hello!
Thought I would share front and back images of a new tote bag I put together yesterday, I kind of like how it turned out. Had our first scorpion in the house last night, kind of unnerving, thankfully Scott wasn't stung. Wishing each of you a wonder filled weekend. Don't forget to enjoy the journey.
