Whole cloth tied baby quilt by Turtle & Dragon

Recently I have been able to finish a whole cloth tied quilt for a wee boy who will be arriving soon. Also, a pieced and tied throw for us and a pointy elf hat for a toddler.
What have you been creating?
Enjoy the journey.

In full bloom - 7 January 2013

A beautiful floral display has been entertaining us for the past couple of days. Plants never cease to amaze, from bulb to this colour profusion, it is mind boggling.  Hope all is well where you are.  Enjoy the journey.

Meet Tiberius

Meet Tiberius by Turtle & Dragon
Tiberius - 22 December 2012
We adopted this four month old kitten last week. Getting a non blurry image is proving difficult. He is a handsome, curious and very playful lad. Tiberius seems to be adjusting well to his new home.

Merry Christmas! Wishing each and everyone a holiday full of love, laughter and health. We wanted to share a reading of a Christmas favourite from a previous year. Enjoy these magical holidays!!! ox

Raised Beds Planted

Three raised beds: tomatoes in one, a selection of herbs in the second and vegetable seeds in the third.
Hopefully they flourish. Enjoy the journey.

Quilt Complete

Finished hand stitching the binding onto the quilt featured in the above images.  It always feels so good to finish up a project.  The raised beds are all in and have transplants or seeds in them. Will share images very soon. Wishing each of you a wonderfully magical weekend. Enjoy the journey.

Quilting Results

A long arm quilting session was completed yesterday in just under three hours. I used orange thread and a meandering pattern. I really enjoyed the process and with practice will be able to tackle more complicated patterns. Now to attach the binding. Enjoy the journey.

Front and Back

This project is coming together nicely. Both pieces will be quilted together Wednesday. I have made an appointment to use the long arm quilting machine I recently had a lesson on, should be interesting. Hope the weekend treats each of you very well.
Enjoy the journey.

2000th Member Cover Contest Entry

Letter Writers Alliance (LWA) - 2000th Member Cover Contest
As most of you know, I love mail and although I don't write as many letters as I would like, I do try to send cards and the odd letter quite often.  Which is why I found the LWA interesting and joined. Above is my entry to a recent contest they held, a collage of stamps and a cut out drawing of mine with a few extras added for good measure.  It was fun putting this together.  Wishing each of you good mail days ahead.
Enjoy the journey.

Wildflowers

Wildflowers are blooming in our back yard after the much needed rain we have experienced this past week. As evident from the image above. Finished a little project this week, an iPad stand (see above), using the following tutorial. You might enjoy the following granola recipe, I sure did. I may like it best without yogurt, just dry, eaten out of hand as a snack. I do hope the weekend is most enjoyable. Enjoy the journey.

Olive Oil

Don't take olive oil for granted. Read the following article. We adopt a tree from Nudo (a Christmas gift to each other), it is an amazing olive oil and a wonderful company. There are a couple of local options available to us as well, which I am looking forward to trying. Enjoy the journey.
