Good Morning!

Good Morning - Gulf Shores, Alabama - Christmas 2011

We had a wonderful time with family on the Gulf Coast and arrived back in Texas last evening. Hope the holidays are treating each of you very well. Take care of each other. Enjoy the journey.

Merry Christmas!!!!

The images above are of a felt toy for a wee girl for Christmas and a hat I am nearly finished knitting. There is something about creating something with your hands, I love the experience.
Merry Christmas to each of you! May the holiday be filled with magical moments, spent with those you hold dear.

Christmas - A Week Away

The top image was taken in Salzburg, Austria in 2007, on Boxing Day. I still marvel at the beauty of that magical place. Everyone of us has traditions we associate with Christmas and a big one for me is holiday baking. There are certain things I only make during the month of December (I did make trifle for someone's birthday this year).  I make a gumdrop cookie, the recipe is from a very dear friend and is an extra special favourite. Another newer tradition is peppermint bark, not sure whether it will always be in the mix. I have tried making shortbread, but need a bit more practice. A spice cookie recipe from Mom is one I really enjoy. Hands down favourite for us is the trifle for Christmas Day. This year will be a bit different, so we are going to enjoy it after New Year's Eve dinner.  I enjoyed this post about Holidays recently and thought you might too.  Also, if you haven't already discovered them, a dear friend/cousin has taken some beautiful photographs, this is the link to her shop and blog. Thanks again for stopping in here. Do enjoy these magical days leading up to Christmas, I know I will be.
Enjoy the journey.

Happy Weekend To Everyone!

Water and ice - Northern Ontario - November 2011

There is something magical about water and ice to me. We have had holiday music playing non-stop.
Update:  Made some Peppermint Bark the other day. Finished up a few handmade items this week, a bit of knitting and another dream catcher. Not sure what the weekend holds but I am certain it will be magical.
Enjoy the journey.
