Recent Discoveries

My brother sent me some photos he recently scanned and I found a couple of me he took when I was a wee mite. I thought I would share them with you.  Another image he included was taken by my cousin this past November of me and my Auntie Evelyn who recently passed away. I have fond memories of that day; I was in Canada at the time. I surprised them both by travelling up to see them at a craft show in Bruce Mines, where Auntie Evelyn was selling her gorgeous hand knit creations. It was a good day.  I am going to miss that lady.

Lately

It rained yesterday and through the night, there is even a chance of more rain today! What have you been reading lately?  I would recommend either of the following:  Before I Go To Sleep by S.J. Watson (recommended to me by Kim) was both frightening and fascinating and Fire Season: Field Notes from a Wilderness Lookout (recommended here) was both intriguing and entertaining.  The past couple of weeks I have been keeping busy with a bit of knitting, sewing and project planning, among other things. Also, we have been enjoying the Australian Open tennis matches the past few evenings (streamed live, without commercials!).

Back In Time

My brother took this image in 1981 and recently sent me a digital version of it. It certainly brings to mind many memories of times spent on the farm with my twin sister and our cousins. Amazing how a photograph can transport us away in an instant. Enjoy the journey.
